Jesse James, a post-Civil War outlaw, frequented McKinney, TX. Born in Kearny, MO, he was fatally shot by Robert Ford in St. Joseph, MO.

Isham Dart (1858-1900), also known as Isam Dart.

Isam Dart was born in Guadalupe, Texas. Killed by Tom Horn in Wyoming from a great distance as he came out of his cabin.

Henry McCarthy (1859-1881), also known as Billy the Kid.

Billy the Kid, also known as William H. Bonney, was born in New York City in 1859 and was shot and died in 1881. It is believed that his friend Pat Garrett killed him.

Sam Bass (1851-1878)

Sam was born in Mitchell, Indiana. He became an outlaw after the Civil War and robbed trains. He was the first person to successfully rob a train in Texas and pulled off the biggest train heist in US history. He was allegedly killed in Round Rock, Texas..
